Pasadena Community Orchestra – full orchestra playing live!

Friday, May 6, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Free

The Pasadena Community Orchestra is excited to bring you a program that features the full orchestra for the first time in more than two years.  It’s great to be back at full strength and play works scored for symphony orchestra! As with all our concerts, it will be free of charge – no tickets required! It will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena.

Ukrainian National Anthem………………………………..Mykhailo Verbytsky (1815-1870)
…..Vsev Krawczeniuk, vocalist ………………………………. arr. Keith Terrett
Waltz from the The Sleeping Beauty ballet………..……Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893)
Capriol Suite…………………………………………………Peter Warlock (1894-1930)
Overture from The Barber of Seville……………………..Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868)
Vltava (The Moldau) from Má Vlast………………………Bedřich Smetana (1824-1884)

The Church has plenty of free parking, in front of and behind the church.  The guest entrance is on the south side (away from the street).  Look for the helpful signs near the entrance.  We hope to see you there!

Covid-19 update: We want the concert experience to be enjoyable and safe for all attendees, and we are still in the Covid-19 era. Los Angeles County and the City of Pasadena have recently relaxed safety requirements for events.  But for this concert, we are requiring the wearing of a face mask while in the Auditorium. There is plenty of space in the Auditorium for social distancing. We hope this is the last time we need to do this!

And in case you missed it, Video recordings of most of the works from the November 5, 2021 concert are now available on our YouTube channel.
