We are excited to invite the public to attend the auditions for the 2025-26 Young Artist Competition. Auditions will be in-person at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music, on February 7, 2026. There will be a morning session 9am-12noon and an afternoon session 1-5pm. Please note that is is not a concert. Audience members must a agree to follow a few simple rules to ensure the competition isn’t disrupted. Details will be posted on the Events Page.
Each year we offer these opportunities for talented young musicians to demonstrate their skill and artistry through the audition process, and for each winner, a cash prize and a performance as soloist with the Pasadena Community Orchestra. The Competition features a Junior Division and an Open Division:
- Junior Division for performers from 12 through 16 years of age. Application deadline (with video submittal): TBD (January 2026)
- Open Division for performers from 14 through 24 years of age. Application deadline: TBD (January 2026)
The Junior Division winner will receive a $500 cash prize and perform with the Orchestra at the March 13, 2026 concert. The Open Division winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and perform with the Orchestra at the May 8, 2026 concert.
