SUMMARY:Young Artist Competition Winner Performs a Sarasate Showpiece
DESCRIPTION:The Orchestra’s 43rd season continues on Friday\, March 13\, 2026 at the beautiful First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena.  We’re thrilled to welcome Naomi Jones to the stage as soloist performing a virtuoso work by Pablo de Sarasate. Naomi is the winner of our 2025-2026 Young Artist Competition in the Junior Division. \nMendelssohn        Overture for Winds\nGrieg              Peer Gynt Suite No. 1\nPablo de Sarasate  Zigeunerweisen\, Op. 20\n         Naomi Jones (violin)\, Young Artist Competition Winner (Junior Division)\n Beethoven          Scherzo from Symphony No. 9\n \nOur concerts are always free admission\, and there is plenty of free parking.  Pre-Concert discussion at 7:15pm; Concert begins at 8:00pm.  The season continues on these dates: \n\nMay 8\, 2026\, 8:00pm; Pre-Concert discussion at 7:15pm\nJune 6\, 2026\, 6:30pm\, Concert in the Park\n\nVideo recordings of works from many of our past concerts are available on our YouTube channel.
